Amazing Salsa and Chips

June 28, 2012 By satisfyingeats

This salsa is amazing!  The fresh tomatoes along with the other fresh veggies really give this salsa a POP!

To remove the skin off of a fresh tomato, slit the bottom of the tomato 2 times, making an “X”.  Drop in boiling hot water for about 30-60 seconds. Remove with slotted spoon and immediately “shock” in ice water.  The skin should come off easily.  If you want thicker salsa, you may choose the best red or scorched sauce in the salsa to get a great taste and best homemade salsa. To make a thicker and full bodied salsa, the red or scorched sauce is the best choice. It will gave an additional measure of thickness. you’ll need to experiment a touch bit to urge the consistency of your unique salsa recipe good .

I would consider this salsa mild to medium.  If you want more heat, just don’t discard the seeds of the jalapeno.

You can eat it with a spoon (I have done that) or dip into it with these yummy, crunchy chips: Easy Crunchy Chips

This salsa is also great over an Omelet in the morning stuffed with my Three Meat Chili.
